Greece Kozani 36.98 MW SkyLineII Project

This 36.98 MW solar cluster project in Kozani, Greece, utilizes the SkyLine II single-axis tracking system across 1,201 trackers. Located in a mountainous region at 1,300 meters above sea level, the project’s two sites combine challenging terrain with high seismic activity and a favorable Mediterranean climate for solar generation. The system is optimized for bifacial modules to maximize energy yield.

To address the specific site conditions, Arctech incorporated custom seismic reinforcements and AI-based backtracking algorithms into the SkyLine II design, ensuring structural stability and minimizing shading on sloped terrain. The trackers are installed on concrete pile foundations suited to the hard-rocky soil. Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 60 million kWh of clean energy annually—enough to power around 4,400 households—and will reduce CO₂ emissions by an estimated 20,000 tons per year, supporting Greece’s shift away from fossil fuels.
