Qinghai UHV PV Plant 1.3GW SkyLine Project

Spanning 5,600 hectares with an installed capacity of 2.2 GW, this UHV project is the largest of its kind with the shortest construction timeline. Utilizing bifacial modules and smart tracking algorithms, it achieves an 18% increase in power output compared to traditional fixed-tilt systems, generating over 2,000 hours of electricity annually. The project exemplifies efficiency and innovation, setting new standards for large-scale solar installations.

Located at an altitude of 3,200 meters with extreme weather and undulating terrain, the project required robust safety measures, advanced tracker design, and exceptional terrain adaptability. It also faced challenges from its large capacity, tight schedule, and the use of seven module types. To overcome these, the project adopted Arctech’s 1P single-axis independent row SkyLine tracker, featuring a terrain adaptability of up to 20% N-S slope and a reduced foundation count by 20% per MW. The system, equipped with dampers to handle high wind speeds and customized for cleaning robot compatibility, ensures stability, efficient delivery, and simplified operations and maintenance.
