Spanning 20.34 square kilometers and located 65 km south of Abu Dhabi, the project employs Arctech’s SkySmart II tracking solution with three types of bifacial modules and an automated cleaning system, providing electricity to 160,000 UAE households and increasing Abu Dhabi’s photovoltaic capacity to 3.2 GW while reducing carbon emissions by over 3.6 million metric tons annually.
