In line with the Colombian government’s ambitious goals of reaching 6 GW of renewables before the end of its term, international companies see the country as a key region to move forward with their projects.
In addition, energy demand at the national level tends to grow year by year and renewable energies are presented as the best allies to guarantee a reliable supply.
In this context, Future Energy Summit (FES) returns to Colombia for the fourth time with an event that will bring together executives, officials and different major players in the renewable energy industry in the Andean region, to discuss the main topics on the agenda, the challenges of diversifying the matrix and business opportunities in the region.
As in previous editions, the FES Colombia meeting, which will take place on October 29 and 30 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogotá, will have ample spaces for networking and there will be meeting points where sponsors will show their latest news and technological developments for the sector.
More than 500 professionals are expected to attend the summit to discuss the future of renewable energy in the region. Within the list of companies that will accompany the event, Seraphim, a leading manufacturer of the global photovoltaic industry, will lead the first panel called “State of photovoltaic solar energy in Colombia: Vision of leaders” through its sales manager, Mayron Morales, with a view to analyzing investment, financing and logistics strategies for renewable projects in Colombia.
Seraphim’s photovoltaic products are distributed in 28 countries in Latam, and cover a wide range of projects, from large-scale installations to residential and commercial systems in the distributed generation segment. The executive will describe how the modules have evolved in recent years, moving from Mono PERC technology, to TopCON.
Indeed, it is expected that you will share the main advantages that bifacial modules bring to enable informed decision-making when choosing cells for your photovoltaic project.
In turn, panel 3 entitled “The renewable sector’s commitment to technological innovation and efficiency in projects to maximize the competitiveness of the solar sector in the Andean region” will feature the participation of Marco Ricci, sales manager of Solis, a Chinese company with 19 years of experience in power electronics for the photovoltaic sector.
In this way, Ricci will reveal the challenges and opportunities that the region has to achieve greater penetration of renewables in different segments of the economy. In addition, it will analyze the evolution of the use of BESS systems in Latin America, to the point that countries are moving forward with specific regulations and standards and the private sector is gradually developing more projects of this nature, whether pilot or even large-scale.
On the other hand, Olvia Malagón, Head North Latam of Arctech, manufacturer and provider of fixed structure systems and solar tracking system solutions, will lead panel 4 called: “Colombia’s renewable strategy: Energy security and matrix diversification”.
During the event, Malagón will present the keys to the efficiency of solar energy in its different scales of projects and how Colombia is positioned within the renewable industry in Latin America.
For all these reasons, the Future Energy Summit (FES) has established itself as a key event for renewable energy professionals, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and the exploration of business opportunities.
The 2024 edition promises to be a crucial meeting point for those interested in the advancement of clean energy in Latin America, offering innovative perspectives and encouraging the development of sustainable projects in the region.
